hey guys. ..new to the forum. got a question..
so i'm now the proud new owner of an 03 tacoma trd 4x4. i've used the last few days at work to familiarize myself with this site and it will probably take me a few more weeks as there is such a weath of information to cover. ....anyway, in the write-up that covers changing the Front Differential, Rear Differential, 5-Speed Transmission, and Transfer Case Fluids it says to use 75W-90 for the front diff. and 80W-90 for the rear diff. ...the problem is that the auto part store i use only has the 80W-90.
...so my question is can i get away with using the 80W-90 in the front diff? it doesn't seem like it would be a big deal but i'm new to the tacoma and don't want to screw it up right off the bat.
thanks in advance!

ah! ...a fellow panic fan. i'm already getting excited about fall tour!
LGTSOTR!!
anyway, i just finished cleaning my my throttle body, air sensor, and also installed a deck plate in the air box.
time to try it out!
just back from the road test and it does appear to be a bit peppier, however, it could just be that i don't want to think the last 3 hours of my time were spent in vain
at any rate, it does make a cool wooshing sound once i get up around 3k rpm's ....so i guess it was worth it.

seeing your avatar made me decide I was due for a change...There are a few spreadheads here. Fall tour...Macon and possibly Charlottesville are the only ones I'll make. I went to Salem and Charlotte in the spring and summer. Salem was...well it was what it was
The deckplate will give you a few HP...and it never hurts to clean the TB and MAF. Looks like you are on the right track...Peace

Hey Welcome to the forum
The deck-plate mod does give you a little more hp
It makes a bit more difference if you drop a performance high flow filter;
Then if you do Intake Silencer Removal Mod!!
Good luck
