Hesitation due to injectors?
This is for anyone who has had a hesitation caused by their injectors. Did the hesitation occur only at low rpms ie 1500 or so? Did it happen every time?
Now that the temp has climbed here, my hesitation has returned. I've already got an injector rebuild in the works and was just wondering if anyone thought the problem could be my injectors.
The weird thing about my hesitation is that it seems to only happen after the vehicle has been sitting for 2-3 hours and when you first start accelerating.
My other option right now is that it could be the fuel pump which I know can be affected by temperature. I'm pretty sure the CSI isn't firing because the vehicle is still warm.

I'm just trying to narrow down my possibilities so I can fix the problem before I sell it. And yes, I have had the Motorvac done. It was done back in the winter and the vehicle did run better. It seems that the hesitation happens the majority of the time when it is hot outside. The window that it happens whenever it cools is pretty short. I pulled the spark plugs at 125K miles and noticed that a couple of them were white. Hence they are running lean and have a clogged injector.
I'll have the injector cleaning done this month and we'll see what happens.

My hesitation happened at the very beginning of accleration and whether it was warm or cold...mine didn't have to do completely with the injectors but it was a part of it.

I'm having what sounds like the same problem as you. I've tried fuel injector cleaner and it seems to help a little, but doesn't fix the problem. I cleaned out the throttle body today but that doesn't appear to have fixed it either.

Update: Fixed
I'll have to keep my fingers crossed on this one, but I think I've fixed the hesitation that I was experiencing. It's been three days since it's happened. My fix involved Two tanks with Fuel Injector Cleaner (Chevron Techron) separated by 2000 miles. And cleaning out the throttle body and I think I'm good to go! Best of Luck AgRunner.

Add me to the "me too" list. Had the fuel pump replaced several months ago, so that's not it. Haven't looked at the throttle body yet, but problems seem to have started after I cleaned and re-oiled my K&N filter. I noticed some residual oil dripping onto the pavement for a couple of day after I oiled it, so I'm assuming it's possible that some oil got sucked into the throttle body and it gunking it up. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
