Hesitation on Acceleration
I am having issues with my runner "stuttering" when I accelerate. It normally happens from 1k to 2k rpms. Thus far I have cleaned the throttle body, put in a new fuel filter, and it has had a tune up (new wires and plugs @ 85000 now @ 145k). I have read about the tps, egr sensors. I did recently undo the wire to my tps and it did not stutter as bad. Any other suggestions....Also it idles fine, it's only when I speed up, once I get above 2k in rpms it runs fine.

you definitely need dual electrode pluGs!!! go with NGK or denso, never bosch or anything else. the you need dual electrode plugs because of the way the current flows through because of the coil packs.

I have been following this converstation because I am having the same problem. Do K&N filters gum up the MAF pretty quickly? I've run one for 3 years now and this is the first time I've thrown a code at all. I am also getting the P0302.

K&N filters do have a history of clogging up MAFs because of the oil involved. using MAF sensor cleaner you should be able to clean it up. I do ahve a K&N filter but haven't had any problems on my 3.4L.
