Herculine
I have a 97 limited and i've been seeing a few people who herculine the side like the pic here: http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...e/DSCN1256.jpg
problem is that i'm not too sure how it would look on my color/type of runner:
as you can see i have the plastic siding on my limited and also do ya'll think the color of herculine would go with the green of my runner? if i were to herculine it i would most likely do the plastic trim?(is that wat the outer part is called that runs down the side) as well as the fender flares. maybe the front valence too. heck i might just do the whole body

HEY thats my herculine pic! Thats alright...
I don't know how well it would work on plastic, I'm not sure how well it'd bond to it. You also have to clean the area with a substance called Xyleone (I think thats how you spell it)...and I don't know if it can be used on plastic or not. I'm not familiar with the clad molding on the limited models but if there was a way to remove it, I would most definitely suggest it and then put the herculiner on.

i say do it! those dark green colored 4runners look really good with black imo. if youre set on doing it on the molding, try spraying it with the krylon fusion paint (i think) first. the one thats made to bond to plastic. definitely rough it up with some sandpaper first though. after the krylon, rough it up again a bit and then try putting the herculiner on. search around and ask people about their experiences first and let us know how it goes.
