Help!!! Alternator harness is gone!
I am hoping some kind soul out there can help out a yoder owner who did a very dumb thing. I own a 1996 4Runner - 2.7 - 4x4. 3 years ago I bought a NWOR 130amp alternator (NWOR is junk..terrible service...products about the same), it used a a different generator wiring harness than the stock 70amp denso unit. Well..instead of buying an adapter, I cut the harness and adapted the wiring manually. Long story short, the NWOR alternator died and until I can have it rebuilt, I need to install the old alt. Only problem is, I cannot locate the old wiring harness. So I have no idea which wire connects to which terminal on the alternator. It is the oval shaped harness that plugs into the rear of the alt, there is a red, a white, and a yellow wire. If anyone could check out their rig (I would bet the 3.4 shares the same wiring harness) and let me know the order of the wires from right to left (or make an MS Paint drawing)...I would be forever grateful. Thanks!

Thanks Jamie. That plug layout is actually the same that came with the NWOR alt (which I adapted to manually and now regret!), the stock 70amp denso unit is a different pattern, oval with three terminals in a row. Fortunately, my buddy came over last night with his 4cyl tacoma, I was able to check out what goes where on his rig. So I should be set. Thanks!
