HELP! 4Runner won't start...
So this afternoon was going great. I got out of class and had a message from the local Suzuki dealer that my sport bike was ready to go. So I head to my buddies to grab a trailer. I hook up and drive around the house and shut off my 4runner. Within five minutes I go to leave and pickup my bike and it refuses to start. I thought maybe the starter, but it isn't clicking or anything. My lights, radio, etc are working, but the ignition just isn't cooperating. I turn the key and absolutely nothing happens. Not even any odd noises to go by. Any suggestions what could be causing this?
Oh ya. My battery terminals where looking pretty nasty so I replaced those hoping it was an easy fix with no luck.

My battery is good. It's ugly looking, but it works really good. I've checked the fuses (purpleish blue one under the hood and the 7.5 under the dash, any others?) and replaced the connectors at the battery. Where/how would I check the starter wires?
It's an auto tranny and the problem exactly matches what happens when you try and turn it over in gear. I tried both P and N with no success. Heck, I even tried it in R and D just in case the sensor was way off...
I don't know guys, its got me stumped. Everything was working fine and then 5 minutes later nothing....

try to obtain a wiring diagram and follow that. I don't have one right now, but I'll poke around the internet and see what I can find.
One possible source would be the online Toyota FSM site. The link can be found in one of the sticky threads in the General tech section.
sounds like it could be your transmission lockout, but it wouldn't hurt to check the starter wires.
