Well, maybe there was a slight leak. The passenger side collector (where the crossover pipe meets the header) was not flush. It was slightly cock-eyed. I could tell there was a slight leak because there was a small triangle of black soot on the crossover pipe. I had to unbolt everything sans the headers and reposition. That took me another 2 hours last night. I honestly do not think that was producing an audible sound, but it was something that was causing the exhaust gasses to get by the 02 sniffer. So, my performance might be slightly better – but it isn’t noticeable.

While out testing, I have found something kind of strange. If I slam the pedal to the floor, it seems like my rig is being choked at times. If I roll into the gas, bringing it to the floor, it seems like it starts to really pick up speed. Weird!

Mine's been doing that recently as well; I see it as a flat spot when pulling hard in 2nd right around 2400rpm. It didn't always do it with the headers on though...

I've been talking with Dr. Z about it and he's thinking that it might be that the MAF is on it's way out. There's been talk back and forth throughout the years that the MAF will actually wear out. I've cleaned and primped the air path, so it's nothing that "easy".

I've tried using the SMT tuning to deal with it, but it's feeling like a bandaid versus a fix. The flat spot is still there.

Next stop... plugs.

I was thinking the same thing. But, if the gap is good and they look ok, then I dont think I will replace them.

Interesting about the MAFS...

I may also try running the intake resonators again, just to see what happens.
