Is the Hayden 1679 tranny cooler too much!?
I asked where I can get a Hayden 1678 tran's cooler, but when I saw the 1679 I bought it. Is it too much or just right for my tacoma with 125 shot of nitrous?

You can't get "too much" of a tranny cooler for the truck. Sucking heat out of the transmission isn't like sucking heat out of an engine. You can get an engine too cold, but short of dunking a tranny in liquid nitrogen, it's not going to be a problem.
For reference, tranny coolers are rated by the load on the transmission, expressed in gross vehicle weight. So, referencing:

The 1678 is rated for trucks to 24,000 lbs, while the 1679 is rated to 30,000lbs.
The added load of a 125 shot should of course be factored in as additional stress on the tranny. But since you're not running it all the time, the cooler is only there to cool things down _after_ the WOT run, not really during.
Is this an auto? If so, then one thing you should do (if you haven't already) is to do a valve body upgrade. That's going to be more help in keeping the tranny together.
