Have a question for those who own both 1st and 2nd gen runners.
I recently broke my stock jack (2nd gen runner) and I've found one on ebay for a 1st gen. Will the jack from a 1st gen fit properly under my 2nd gen's seat? I gave the seller my measurements and asked him to compare them to his. Of course, he said they were the same.
Here's the part that's a little suspicious: After this auction had been up for a few days and I was the only one showing interest, the seller pulled the auction and offered to deal directly. For some reason I think the 1st gen jacks are a little longer than the 2nd gens. And I have a feeling he's trying to avoid getting negative feedback for lying to me by pulling the auction and dealing directly. What do you guys think?

hey chicken!
i had 2 1st gens and currently own a 2nd gen, i think the bottle jacks are the same height. all the same tools come in the little bag, i dont think there will be a problem. there seems to be enough room under the seat for the jack as i always retract it fully then extend it to fit more snug. you should be ok so long as the price is good. offer him half of what he is asking as he is coming direct to you now. work him good for the price!
