has anyone ever run 4.88 gears and 265/75/16s

Hello,

I am moving my 2002 4runner toward a lower suspension set up ('99 4runner coils and keeping my 1"BL) and 265/75/16s but i still have my 4.88 gears in my difs that are paired with my 285/75/16s. I can't change my suspension until i get smaller tires.

I really like the gearing ratio that I have and even wish i went with 5.29s for my 33s.

Has anyone run this combo b4? I know the revs will be high on the highway but i do have an AT which means I have a crazy overdrive gear.

If i didn't have to change them it would b nice. if i do, hopefully i can trade someone.

Thank you.

You shouldn't have to change them.
It will rev a little high, but nothing it cant handle.

Hmmm, are you sure you will be able to live with it on the highway? I have an auto with 4.3 gears, and I lose alot of mpg's to go 75 instead of 65, and 4.88 would make that even lower. The overdrive isn't that crazy; I wish it were lower.

well isnt that about a 32x10.5? considering 4.88s are perfect for 33" tires i dont see why there should be a problem with a 32" tires.
