groan in front end

groan in front end
My 93 pickup makes a groan only when it is very cold out. It only seems to happen until the pickup is warmed up. It seems to be coming from the front passenger side wheel and happens after you apply brakes and turn. If you hit the brake pedal a few times it quits. Seems like it could be a stuck brake pad or something. The intermittent groan increases as my speed in the pickup increases. Any ideas of what it is or how to fix it would be appreciated.

i know this is not much help, but i have the same problem in my 94. pass. side and only when its cold. sound/vibration increases when i go faster, and eventually goes away. i checked my wheel bearings and they seem fine, thats the only thing i could think that would increase in noise with relation to tire speed. doesnt seem like brakes to me.
If its any consolation, i still drive it and just ignore the noise

Dang what is it with brakes today? I had 2 cars, a Malibu and Alero, both with a groan when braking slowly. Come to find out the piston to caliper seal needs lubrication. Not that it applies here but I would maybe check the bushings for any wear on them. Sometimes its normal for the brakes to groan when cold especially going downhill or stopping, it can be considered "normal operations" or at least GM says it is.

I should also mention that probly a month ago or so, when it was still fairly warm out here in South Dakota, that there was some grease around my passenger front tire that seemed to come from the hub. I didnt pay much attention to it because i didnt have any problems at the time. Is that a clue to anything under the wheel causing a problem?

Mine Does The Same Thing. The Colder It Gets The Louder The Sound Is.its Always That First Right Or Left Turn That Starts It . I Have Add On Mine So My Cv Shafts Are Always Turning So I Was Thinking This Might Be My Problem Cause It Stops After A Couple Of Miles Almost Like It Just Takes the joints Awhile To Warm Up.just a guess. do you have manual locking hubs if so its coming from something else.
