grinding noise troubles

grinding noise troubles
So, 2001 4Runner, with an obnoxious grinding noise.
Starts at about 10mph, and stays constant. Does not speed up with mph speed, slight increase with engine rpm. Seems to grind at a 1/4 of engine rpm, so when I'm moving at 2000 rpm, the grind is about 500 rpm, (if that makes sense) only does it under a load.
Checked u joints, rear is full of fluid etc.
I'm stumped! Please help!!
