I modified a bar custom made for Toyota Canada for the 1980 model pickup. Dirt cheap I got the bar for $40 from the paper and picked up a mounting kit from Warn.

Mack, can I ask why you have your lights offset like that. I have never seen that before and was wondering the pros/cons of doing such a thing? Thanks! :fireman:

Cebby,
So can you fill us in on how you did the bedliner lining stuff on your brush guard? Did you just buy one of those paint on bedliner kits from Advance Auto or Pep Boys? I just put on my Waag brush guard this week and looked at getting it professionally sprayed at a bedliner place before installing it. They wanted over $200 to do it. Sorry, i'm not on crack and decided to pass on that option.

If I had it to do over again..
I might have considered the professional guys. Their stuff is a bit different than the stuff out of a rattle can. Theirs is a two part process mixed at the gun head. Chemical reaction and wala, dry and able to be handled in 5 minutes. You had to let the Plasticoat stuff I used cure a while before recoating or handling. The pro guys do it in one thick coat, I did three and probably could have done 3 more. It took an eternity and 12 or 14 cans of the material (@ $8+ per can ) to do my front guard, rear tails and nerf bars. I did this process cause I had to cover some rust/scrapes. If your WAAG is new, why recoat it? If your are going to do the bedliner rattle cans, be sure to scuff up the surface for a good bond. Also, let it dry before worrying about imperfections, they usually fix themselves. Also, the further away you spray, the rougher the texture. I was 24-30" away.
Good Luck

Also Ran
Ryan,
"PIAA's Rule, everything else is an also ran" (or whatever my post said) - as in if it were a contest, Piaa would win and all of the others would be runners up or they also ran in the contest but didn't win.
I'm a bit out there at times...
