DON'T DO THAT, there is a reason GM techs call it "death cool" ( I deal with dealer techs from several dealerships on a daily basis) This argument has been beaten
the red toyota is low silicant which in turn means low acid which equates to longer life. Remember toyota's go 1/2 a million miles on toyota products not gm, not prestone.
is it worth the 5.00 savings to replace your thermostat housing, water pump.............................

I'm sure it will be fine with the green coolant. It won't cause any immediate problems and probably won't cause any long term problems. I use orange because that's what Toyota put in it.

There are a lot of smart people I respect, on this forum, that will essentially tell you: why take a chance, stick with Toyotas product.
Otoh, there is nobody that knows more about antifreeze, does more research, is a bigger company that does nothing but anti-freeze, than Prestone.
I'd say you are perfectly safe. Prestone specifically claims it is ok for your vehicle. Probably the most important thing is that you changed it. Also, that 50/50 mix makes it idiot proof. Makes it easy to get it right. I say thumbs up.

Ok, no, not all coolant is ok to run/mix and Dexcool least of all.....I went through the same thing and while back.
You guys need to read the overload-of-info coolant thread:

YOU CAN NOT USE THE GREEN IN A TOYOTA ENGINE!!! You guys who are stating that it's alright because you have been using it for a year or so are completely wrong and will pay dearly in the end.
The red or the whatever antifreeze MUST HAVE Ethylene Glycol in it for the Aluminum radiator that is used by Toyota. The green or any antifreeze WITHOUT THIS ADDITIVE will corrode your engine and radiator.
When your not sure about this stuff please read your manual or call the mechanics at Toyota . The manual states that you MUST use Toyota antifreeze or the equivalent and it must have the chemicals stated above our you will cause damage.

SEE THE POST ABOVE THIS.
please be careful both taking and giving "E-vice" as "I heard its Ok" can cost you a lot of money and time in the end.

my bad, looks orange. I assumed it was dexcool. I never really researched toyota coolant. I was careful before giving e-vice because putting the wrong coolant in won't cause a catastrophic problem. And it is only a suggestion. "i heard it's ok" leading to expensive problems would be something like "yeah, I heard it was ok to put motor oil in your transmission."

In the case of Prestone 50/50, they are well aware of the requirements (imho).
But if you want to be absolutely sure, do the simple (expensive thing) and use the dealers product which Toyota sells. And don't forget to always use the dealers parts. They are OEM also. And while you are at it, always have your work done under a Toyota authorized dealer.
Get it?

the prestone coolant is ok to run in your toyota, but it is not a long life coolant, and so it needs to be changed more frequently than if you used the RED toyota coolant. DO NOT USE DEX-COOL. It is crap, and it will eat your cooling system. There are ways of testing the PH level of your coolant. you want a slight base. When the coolant becomes acidic, it is time to change it, becasue that is when electrolosis begins to eat your cooling system.

radiators, water pumps, eroded heads/blocks, thermostats/housings. This is in vehicles run with "dexcool" and from the various brands of green coolant available. (in all makes and models of vehicles.)
also the gell effect of mixing red and green coolant, its pretty nasty!
I have seen failures in vehicles with "red" coolant as well but mainly due to the age or wear of the failed part, not due to erosion.
your rig may run fine for the next 15 to 20k miles on green, but you are indeed shortening its service life.
and if you really feel like putting oil in your transmission, let me know when, I'll grab a 12 pack, a camera and head your way

Ok, since your a Texan, I'll forgive you. I base my "e-vice" on hard fact. I currently work for a Lexus dealership and was previously at a toyota dealership. and Have a broad profesional history with auto's and the required repair in general. I have seen numerous coolant related failures ranging from failed:
