Got a side mirror I can buy?

I woke up this morning to a blue jay continuously ramming himself into my mirror on the passenger side and the passenger door. I was afraid that he was going to dent my ride or brake something. So I got out the trusty bb gun and propped myself on the mail box and used the scope to find him. He was sitting on top of my mirror and kept ramming into my car! I hadnt used this bb gun in forever and I think the scope is probably off so I shot at him missed and hit my mirror! That sux ass! Anybody got a mirror I can buy for a 97 limited? I thought it was a funny story and should be told. My wife called me a dumbass! Now my mirror is broken and I used every bb trying to shoot him while he was hangin out on the lightpole but never got him! Son of a..........

Im serious i need a mirror

Yeah and not only would ya be out a mirror, but the whole side of your rig! Hit up yer local junkyard! You only need the miror - or the whole mirror housing? If just the mirror online aftermarket makers should have one for cheap!

I am sure you will be able to find one at a Junk Yard or even try Ebay, if not try these guys (direct link) : http://store.shermanparts.com/cgi-bi...l?img_num=8105

I bought some valances/fog assemblies/grille/headlights from them for my F-150 restore.

Yeah

I hope that I will only have to replace the mirror! I think the last time I was at the junk yard I saw one the same color as mine ANTHRACITE. I will have to check with them on monday! If I would have used a 12guage I would have had to replace a whole lot more, window, a door, some new paint, and a whole new mirror would have been fun though! I just wanted to know if I have to replace the whole thing or just the mirror part????? Hmmmm

I don't have a mirror but I'll sell you some shooting lessons.

I do not think you can "just" replace the mirror IIRC.

Just replace the actual mirror (glass) itself.

I replaced my side mirror (glass only) about a month ago due to road debris. I ended up ordering the glass from the dealer. But during my search for aftermarket glass, I did see replacement glass for a 3rd gen at auto zone and pep boys.

I actually sell aftermarket ones that are much cheaper than ones from toyota and I can sell it to you at wholesale as well, but I do not sell just the mirror(glass) so I would try to find that. But if you cannot find one I could sell you a whole mirror and you can disassemble it yourself and attach all the parts on your already painted one and you can get around painting it.

yeah im an idiot!

I was trying to protect my truck and then I decided to shoot at the bird from the back of the truck and I think my bb gun scope is is a little off so the mirror got taken out! Its no big deal I can still see out of it but its a little ugly. I am going to try the local junkyard to see if they still have the 4runner just like mine.

"Cheaper". see Lower Quality.

Those junk aftermarket mirrors rattle around after just a short time. Dont go aftermarket on safety parts, its just not worth the risk.

Bought a piece of glass from eBay for $10.

All you need to do is take out the broken one, clean off the inside.

The new one will have sticky backing, take a hair dryer and heat up the plastic molding on the truck that holds the glass for about 5 minutes. Once its nice and hot, stick on the new glass peice within the molding. Be careful so you dont break the new glass since its a tight fit into that black molding you just heated up.

A simple "Toyota Parts are better" would do just fine, I don't think they are $300 better. I am just trying to help and the mirrors we sell all plenty good. And although I myself have never returned one I would have no problem doing so if it did not meet expectations. I sell them to every body shop in town. And I told him to try and find just the glass.

naw, I still stick by my statement.

Of course you sell them to all the body shops....the less they spend on parts, the more money they make! Not a knock on you, just on the parts.

Didn't mean to offend.
