Nice work! I did mine this past winter with the help of a friend.
Looks much better.
Is that base/clear?
What type did you use?

i used a 1 step polyurethane made by Valspar
i think that all of the prep work i did payed off, there is virtually no orange peel, it looks as good as a factory job, the paint is "GM Fleet White" and it cost me about $130, $60 for paint and $60 for activator, my friend sprayed it for me

Yeah, its all about the prep work.
I used Dupont Chroma base and Chorma clear, its a lexus color.
You definately saved a lot of money by doing it yourself. There is a lot of satisfaction in doing it yourself. Looks great.

Edit: I realy like how your top looks. Did you sand it smooth first or fill it?

Nice Job, and man at a great price. Doing the work yourself has got to be rewarding.

Also, i never knew that just sanding your truck would lift it up Six inches...that's awesome

That is coming together nicely. Do you have a rear bumper for it? Or are you going to go without? It took me 2 months to finally get mine back on (got Lazy)

Boy that looks sweet all back together Joe, ...smooth is a more professional finish in my opinion. Now you need to hide the overspray on your spare and update your avatar.

Just drop it down a couple of inches then spin it around and lift it back up and you'll never see the overspray.

Looks good. - One Q though... If you did all the prep work on the body panels to get them nice and smooth, why didn't you get the little dents out of the tail gate? You ought-a fix them then re-spray the gate and that way you won't have a dent in it.

i sanded all of the panels to make sure that i got all of the loose paint off, and this paint job is really too good for this truck, after i save enough money for gears and tires it will be a "trailer queen" wheeling rig, thats why i didn't fix all of the dents in it, because I'm just going to put more into it
