{rant mode on}.. my dang torsion bars. i just got back from 4wheelparts after being there for 2.5 hours. they said they couldnt get the adjustment bolt off of the drivers side and the only way to get it off would be torching it off. pisses me off that i just sat up there bored as crap and get nothing. now i probably have to go pay toyota for new bolts or some crap. anyone else have this happen?{rant mode off}

Don't you just hate it when a shop tells you that they ran into a stripped bolt and that it's gonna be a bit (2.5 hours). I use to manage a lube shop and the retards my boss would send me could not figure out why they kept "rounding" nuts/bolts. I kept telling them to use the correct wrench/socket. They would use standards on metrics and metrics on standards. So then there is me going to the customer impatiently waiting in the waiting room. "sir it seems a prior shop you went to may have stripped or rounded the head of the bolt to the whatever". 90% of the time they bought it and I kept the retards from getting me yelled at. That is why I hate taking my Toy to shops cuz of people like me. uh yeah?

Ya didn't read the off-road.com article I told you about during chat, did ya ? I hate to say it, but it's fairly well known that you should go down to the dealer and get replacement bolts before you start to adjust/replace the tbars because they might strip.

Hmmm..."Doodie", that's a good one.

Doink, man that really sucks. At least it wasn't something really bad. I know what you mean though. You sit there and wait and wait and wait. Then they say they can't do it.

Hopefully soon they will get put on and all will be well.

Doodie...that comes from one of the best parts of Caddyshack, when the Snickers bar goes floating in the pool....

I actually could hear Bill Murray's voice, you know that annoying caddyshack one he uses saying "doodie". That movie was hilarious!
