Is this a good deal on used 285s, and will I have any issues on my 16X7JJ rims?

Please advise asap - I have an appt to see these at 6 p.m. this evening and I know they'll go quick if I don't jump on them.

Seems like a good deal if there are no rips, tears, chunking, or damage from mounting/ un mounting. Just make sure to go over them with a fine toothed comb. I would also ask the regular q's, like how often they were rotated, etc.

You bet, those are all important things to take into consideration. Thanks for the input. I just called my local Big O Tire (since others have said they'll put the 285s on a 16X7 rim) and the gentleman said $60 to mount and balance these. So I've seen a few other guys on here running 285s on the same 16" split spoke 4Runner alloys that I have, I'm hoping this will be fine. Because I'm definitely not in a position to be getting wheels too.

That seems like a good deal if they are in good shape. I'm running 285/75/16's on my stock rims with no issues. Just get the air pressure right to get an even foot print.

I'm personaly against Procomp tires. I've seen alot of friend burning through them in a rather quick time frame. "Bubblegum compound"= twice as fast as my BFG's. It really depends what your going to use them for I suppose.
