Going to get wheel seals done at the dealer...
...Upon my mom's wishes, I scheduled an apointment to get hte wheel seals done, and the shoes replaced at the dealer.
What should we expect the wallet damage to be?

I'm having my rear seals done and I'm also getting front and rear shocks and coils installed and the damage including new rear shoes is under $700 from the Mitsubishi garage that sponsored me when I had my Eclipse. I'm sure the seals are solidly under $500.

Both inner and outer seals replaced here on both passenger and driver side, brake pads and machining the drums ran around 500. Call it a moment of weakness on the brake job, instead of doing it myself.
Not sure if the following is good or bad. Maybe both.
Two weaks later the driver side was leaking again. (of course that's bad) The upside was the shop replaced the seal and once again replaced the brake pads (though I think this time they just wiped out the drum) without so much as asking for cash. Not bad for a stealership. (they shouldn't have asked, but its a stealer)

I'm glad I did this myself. $5.99 for the seal and $19.99 for brake shoes sure beats $500-800. An afternoon job if you have the space and tools.

doesn't help that they REPLACED the drums! that is where they got you. and the breather...why wouldn't they replace it? you told them not to, but how could they warranty the work when it was the breather that caused the problem in the first place?! i never would have let them do the work until i got a quote first. if you had done that, then you could have told them to turn down the old drums.
actually...did they even replace the drums? you should look to see. if they didn't, then the also jipped you on the 2 bottles of ky you think you got.
