You might take a look at www.ringpinion.com
Randys Ring and Pinion. They've always been great to me.

i just put some yukon 4:88's front and rear in my '79. i've heard a lot of good about them. only have about 250 miles on them so far though. i would buy them again just because of their reputation and they work for me.

Yukon is a good brand for cheap. I got mine for cheap from www.polyperformance.com call and ask for the lowest price
FYI you won't "kill" your truck with stock gears. It might be a TAD slower off the line, but will work just fine. I had 285's on my '96 and it was just fine. In fact, it still has 285's on it, had them since '00.

I hate my 285's and stock gearing (4.10 I believe)
Zuk recommended Motive Gear when I spoke with him. I'll be picking up some 4.88's for the rear any day now from www.ringpinion.biz

Yukon, Richmond. Call Marlin Crawler of Zuk to set them up if you want to buy them as ready to install third members. Yukon are usually repackaged gears but they are top quality stuff. Zuk's site is htpp://www.gearinstalls.com There is a lot of great info there.
