Question Gear Oils

The Yota manual specs Hypoid gear oil gl-5 for differentials and multi purpose gear oil GL-4 or GL-5 for trany and transfer. Checking the Castrol Oil product web for instance they produce Hypoid GL-5 75-90 that claims can be used in manual trany and differs. Does that mean it meets the requirements for the Toyota multipurpose specified for the trany and transfer (Multi purpose GL-4. GL-5)? Or are there additives in the Hypoid GL-5 that would damage the trany and transfer?

Thanks in advance.

dont use the gl5 in the tranny... the problem is that is too good.... in the rear end, its awesome.... but gl5 has more properties to it that make it more slippery... and htis can reak havoc on the internals of the tranny due to the synchros.....
