I resurrect this post because I've been reading it and watching those web pages and want to change my 2nd gen stock green to white or blue LED color, using those LED bulbs.

So... Anyone knows how many 194 and 74 bulbs will I need to change dash, window controls, heater, A/C... Well, all green turned to white or blue.

Is there any pic of a white lighted dash?

Thanks,

David

Those faces are great, by mu 4Runner is diesel, so my faces are different of yours.

Also I don't want to spend a lot of time on cosmetic... I prefer spending it in functional things hehe.

Do you know how many bulbs I need?

David

lol well my blue didn't last. Crash said he will read up on this thread and see what the best options are. The blue only exhists on part of my speedo. I think 80-110mph are still blue. The rest all looks the stock green now. Next to install tonight is my new APC Color changing steering wheel that just arrived.

Please!!!

How many 194 and how many 74 bulbs may I order?

I thing dash turn signals are 194 bulbs also, am I right? So... How many bulbs of each type I need?

I've to order them from the States so if I know how many I need will be better than ordering some and getting too many or not enought...

My Toy is a 2nd gen manual trans.

Thanks

David

Worst case scenario, if no one knows, it takes maybe 15 minutes to take the dash apart, count the bulbs, then put everything back together.

if your bulbs are still good, just buy the little colored rubber things that slide on the bulbs.

I noticed performance products has 194 led bulbs, that appear to plug into the stock sockets. Would this work and save the trouble of soldering lots of itty bitty resistors around?

Edit: I just looked again and they are pretty pricey at 11.95/pair.

Those are harder to find and block too much light.

I am planning on converting my dash lights to blue using those premade LED's from superbrightleds.com. How do I change the backlight color on the stock stereo, the odometer, and the clock? If I cant change the colors of those, I wont change any of my dash., it would bug me way too much to have those green when everything else is blue. Thanks!

I think you're going to have problem with the clock and the stereo. The odometer should change with the dash lights.
