FZJ80 springs on 4runner

Get the 8 or 9 wrap coils for 4+" of lift. They are super soft though, so they are great for offroading for articulation. Everyone on the trail was always impressed by the amount of flex I'd get out of the rear with the 9 wrap coils and long Landcruiser OME shocks.
The problem is then with load capacity. When going camping, I'd almost be on the bumpstops cause they were just not meant for load. In which case I was going to incorporate some air bags. Never got to it and eneded up sellign the truck.
Remember if you go over 3" of rear lift, It would be wise to get a longer steel braided brake line, an adjustable panhard bar from www.sonoransteel.com and do something with the rear sway bar. Either remove the sway bar or make brackets to drop it down a few inches on the frame side.

ok, so I tried to read the whole tread and got more confues. I have some fj80 coils that I was going to put on my 95 4runner, but I sold it and now I have a 97 4runner.. can I used this coils without doing any other upgrades?

the front FJ80 coils can be used in the rear of the VZN185L 3rd gen 4Runner for a minimum of 3.5inches of lift.
as a minimum, you'll need the rear LC80 shocks and the bracket for the rear brake line. better if you also get an extended length rear brake line.
