Funky torque converter

Hi,

I Just notice a something strange with my trans. I have a 2000 limited 4Runner with auto 4spd. When I cruise between 110 and 120 Km/h, my TC locks fine.

But, if I release the gas pedal for a second and then push it back, RPM rise higher for one second then drop down of approx 400 rpm. It act just like the TC is unlocking and re-locking everytime I release the gas.

Is somebody can tell me if it's normal on those trans ? I'm affraid that my TC could be dying ...

Thanks for your help guys ... I had many more manual tranny in my life
