Fuel lines rusted. Can't get filter off.
I'm trying to get my 10 year old original fuel filter off my 4Runner but it is rusted bad. Soaked it with rust inhibitor for a couple of days, and I tried clamping on tight with vice grips but I'm still rounding corners. I do not have the proper flare wrenches but I doubt that would even work with how bad these fittings are. I would like to avoid putting in a new line.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I would still try a flare wrench. But if you can't get it out, you are SOL. I know you can remove the metal pipe going into the filter (on the other end of the metal hose from the gas tank) with a special tool which is used for a quick high-pressure disconnect. It should be right before the filter (about 4-6 inches). As far as the other end, I think I saw it connected somewhere in the engine bay (long hose).
