Fuel Gauge Issue?
Hello all, i am new to the forums. I discovered this site when searching for the first problem i've had with my truck, washing under the hood caused check engine light to come on and shaky performance. Luckily it cured itself (good ol yota). I had a 97 GMC jimmy and found out that hard way that their not good ol american made vehicles anymore (www.msnautos.com <---look up some reliablility ratings L O L ). So here i am now a PROUD toyota owner and I must say I love my truck, i'm only 21 so i have nowhere near enough spare cash to afford to do any 4wheeling but y'all make me jealous w\ ur pic's haha... anyways sorry to blabber heres my question....
i have never put more than 12-13 gal of gas in my truck. i try to fill up before the low fuel light comes on to spare the filter. People say on here it has a 18 gal tank? this is apparently an issue with these trucks (mines 2000 4runner v6 4wd) is this going to become a problem in the future? i cant see pulling the tank to address an incovienence such as frequent refueling. I'm blessed with a wonderful backyard mechanic of a dad who has fixed any problem ive ever had, so it can be fixed but i haven't found myself running out of gas so i guess im asking if there IS a PROBLEM and is it okay to ignore it if thats what im doing?
again- sorry so long THANKS to ALL for any help
