Fuel Gauge goes to E when I stop
I just filled my tank, after driving about 30 miles i came to a stop light and glanced down at my fuel gauge. It was going down from full to empty at a rapid pace. It went all the way down to empty, then when i took off from the light and started driving again it went back up to just under full. It has done this every time i stop all day. The only thing i can figure is there is a dead spot in the sending unit right under a full tank.
anyone have any other ideas or have had a similar problem?
03 taco 3.4, I just did the gray wire mod, but i did that the day after i bought the truck so i don't know if it did this before or not.

hmmm i have never had a problem like that except one day when i was out on a trail i was climbing up a hill in my runner and my gas light came on i think the floater just rolled to the very back of the tank (i was on a really steep incline) once i levelled out it went back up

Both your stoplight / brake light and your fuel sender circuits use the 'BN7' connector (which should be underneath or in the close vicinity of your driver's seat). A fault or short in the wiring at that point might explain the behavior - causing the fuel sender to lose 'signal' when the brake is applied.
Your fuel sender's ground point is behind your left kick panel (brown wires) - you might want to check that, too.
