Price here is 1.37 for regular and 1.47 for mid grade (which is what I use). There is a gas station here that sells race gas. I think it's 109 grade or something like that. It costs like $4.00 a gallon.

Well, I couldn't find that email about all the american gas companies. It may be there, but it's hard to find among my 714 emails.

Up here in the Great White North I use Esso 89 Octane usually and shift over to Petro Canada when the temperature hits the freezing mark.

I'm another that always looks for the cheap stuff. Lately its been whatever the Safeway fuel station sells. I know for a fact that it varies from delivery to delivery regarding what additives go in. Safeway buys whatever they can get the cheapest and in turn sells it cheaper than anyone else in town by 5 to 10 cents per gallon. I get 85 octane.
Keep in mind that I drive a carburated dinosaur, its not pickey about fuel like you supercharged and EFI guys are.
In my motorcycle (99 Honda XR 650 L) I try to stick to Texaco, Shell, and Conoco 87 octane. I have tried some different 85 octanes from independant stores in it and I can tell a difference between it and the 87. 85 acts like a 6000 RPM rev limiter, it just dosen't want to run fast with that in the tank. Sometimes its hard to start when cold (below 32*) with 85. With 87 it will go right up to 7000 and keep on hauling @$$. Cold starts are easier to.

I've found Fry's gas stations to be the cheapest, if you have their card thing. 2 cents off regular price with the card for 87, 4 cents for 89, 8 cents for 91. Which octane rating do you think is the best for an EFI 3.0?

I generally get moble gas, it is the cheapest between 66 and Chevron. The only gas that I have had problems with was at the Maverick Stations. 91 octane is around $ 1.49 here

In my town gas prices range from 1.26 to 1.44 for 87 to 91 grade respectively.
Based on what I got about people saying above I should stick with one gas brand huh.

I wouldn't really worry about finding the correct gas station if you have run out of gas!

I can't comment on quality of gas, but I will only buy from Hess. I read an article a few weeks ago about where gas companies import their oil from. Hess is one of the few major companies that does NOT import from the middle east. Mobile, BP, Texaco do. I'll see if I can track down the article and post who imports from where.
My little effort to make the US a little LESS dependant on the middle east.

Since our air is much thinner here at 6000 to 14000 feet it dosen't cause any problems for me.

Personally I go to any reasonable cheap place, usually Costco gas or the Base station (just not ghetto looking as I hear many times owners fill the tanks with water just to lower their prices) and I make sure to dump a bottle of Techron every oil change I do. Chevron, in my opinion, is too overated.

I am running BP gas all the time now since they bought out Amoco. I'm not sure if ya'll had Amoco elswhere in the country, but this stuff is great. Their super unleaded is ultra pure and I was glad to see BP buy them so that there are now more stations that carry Amoco. I used to think BP was crap but it's all I use now. If I can't find a BP, I use Chevron. Later.
