damn, i just got off work and filled the tank along with BG 44K at the gas station....I got some on my hand and wiped off what i could with dry paper towles...came home and had to wash my hand twice before it felt clean. That 44K stuff is weird if it gets on your skin.

Yes... I've used it in mine and have used it in several other vehicles, particularly when there was what they called the VET (Vehicle Exhaust Testing), that you were required to do every so often and I would always ace it, even when throttling it was required.
the "tester" always had a puzzled look on his face at seeing the results and always congratulated me on "proper vehicle maintenance", which I always did anyway.

Yeah, like that .
I got it at a local liquor store, it was inexpensive (sorry, don't remember how much, it's been awhile since I've looked for it) and came in various sized bottles, of which I believe that I used a fifth per tank.
I'll look around for it and when I come up with it's name, I'll post.

I just poured in a bottle of Redling SI-1 FUel system Treatment today after my oil change. I did feel a little change in throttle response, but the real results should be in; once I finish my tank of gas

4Roc,

"100% grain alcohol" is _almost_ like Everclear and Moonshine. The only difference is Everclear is either 180 or 190 proof (I forget exactly). Anyways, "proof" is 2x the percentage of alcohol content....so 180 proof is 90% grain alcohol. Moonshine....at least the REALLY smooooth and GOOD drinkable stuff will run around 120 proof. And don't ask how I know this but, Moonshine is usually distilled twice and cut (ie. watered down) once. Triple distilled 'shine will burn the living HELL out of your tounge before you can even drink it...but, it's AWESOME to soak fruit in! Aaaaah...the joys of growing up in the backwoods of Kentucky!

Oh...back to the "grain alcohol" part! Grain alcohol is also called "ethanol" in scientific terms....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethanol

...and along that same note, methanol is a "wood alcohol"....and NOT to be drank!

The next time your at the gas pumps, look for a label that says something like, "Fuel dispensed from this pump may contain upto 10% ethanol to help reduce harmful emissions." Adding more ethanol _does_ reduce emissions but, it is also hard on rubber seals in the fuel system thus, part of the reason the limit it to 10% currently in gas (seals in older cars can't handle it).

And just incase your wondering....it's "illegal" to distill any "drinking" alcohol in the US under current ATF laws but...you can legally distill alcohol for use as a fuel. Oh yeah....and wheat _not_ corn makes the smoooothest "running" fuel....if you know what I mean.

-Phil

*UPDATE*

Well last night i drove the final last gallon in what was once a full tank but this time with BG 44K. For the last 2 months i have been keeping a record of how many miles i get out of a full tank of gas (14.5ish gallons). I go through a full tank about once every 6 days. A few weeks ago my record was 305 miles. My average during the last 2 months has been around 290 miles per tank with very little difference in driving conditions. After dropping in this 44K stuff, i managed to get 320 miles on one tank and i drove/recorded the same as always.

Not too bad IMO.

This is why I suggest adding the "pure grain" only once every month for the first two(2) months, and then once every six(6) months (to a full tank of gas for proper dilution and protection of the seals) for continued cleaning (if you feel that it still needs it) and performance boost.

Props to you,Black03vegas, for the supporting background info on this performance/cleaning tip.

Interesting about the "backroads of Kentucky", Phil, although I picked this up from some friends who run top fuel, pro-modified and alcohol funnies.
