Front lower A-arm bushing orientation?
Hi All. Replacing some lower a arm bushings (the front ones) that have failed in a remarkably short time (toyo ones too).
I just wanted to check the orientation. There are rubber webs that connect the inner and out part of the bush. I pressed the new ones in with these rubber webs vertical as the originals came out, but is this correct?

Remind me what an 'a arm' is. I keep thinking about it and can't come up with anything. I feel like it's going to be really obvious...but I don't know what it is!

Yes that is the correct orientation for the front lower control arm bushings so it can carry the vehicle load without changing suspension geometry. 83, I believe you just changed yours not long ago.

If you look at the control arm it resembles an “A” shape, some more so than others depending on the vehicle, both descriptions are common and acceptable, we tend to use LCA/UCA in short form since our vehicles have upper and lower control arms, whereas “a-arm” is a shorter written description than control arm and interchangeable in the industry. On the OE bushing the web is positioned vertical, and the Whiteline bushings have no orientation in that regard.
