Free Mile Marker DVD
did neone get that free mile marker DVD? there was a post here but i dont remember where and i cant find it using search.
someone posted about mile marker giving a free dvd/vhs of their product. i ordered it and i watched it the other night.
it was pretty cool! they compared all other 9000lb ish winches with their mile marker winch, electric and hydrolic. they were showing the advantages of having a hydrolic winch that is powered by your power steering pump. of course the dvd being made by mile marker, it promoted the mile marker hydro winch. it seemed pretty sweet... and id probably go for a milemarker hydro winch instead of a warn elec. winch now.
i just dont know if a toyota P/S can power the winch to its full capacity. They were using full size American trucks... so i dont know if the powersteering pump in our yotas are as strong. ???

I got the DVD early this year after I had already gotten my E8000 winch. I was glad to have saved a lot of money and have a winch that while slow hasn't had a problem doing the job.

there are advantages to both kinds of winches. Hydros can be run submerged. But they normally have slow line speeds. The BIG draw back and the main reason I will never run a hydro winch is that the engine has to be running for it to work. So if you flop, or flip, forget using your winch to right yourself. If you get in a "pickle" and you engine just doesn't feel like turning over, forget using your winch. Give me an electric any day...

I'm very happy w/ my electric winch and just got done using it to move a boulder around in the front of my house.
