true, but sometimes it looks really odd. It favors one side, where as with the www. it keeps things symetrical...

very rarely do you see www._____.com these days. Most ads and what not don't use the www.

Maybe this could be a slogan ... "Putting the "toy" in Toyota!"

I saw that other thread in the off topic talk with the other logos. What happened there? The first two that were displayed where pretty good.

Has anybody thought about t-shirts too? a simple shirt with the logo and tagline in the center would be pretty cool.

Oh Lord so many good ideas. We're gona have to pool up alot of slogans like we are now and then make a poll for that as well. But this is great, I can't wait to see a final product.

I voted for #3 But then I was reading the posts, and then I saw cyber's one, I really like the font and slogan for that one I'd definitely put that on my truck

I also really like the ideas that LSU and Sleepy had for the sticker itself, those are the kind of stickers that I really like, and I think that they add a really nice touch of class to them

I agree witht the sticker ideas of LSU and Sleepy as well, that is what my PP and BFG decals are and I really love them, they just look clean and profesional.

That thread kind of fizzled out because it was closed if this is the one you mean. I had something to say on the topic but saw that it was closed but still sticky on "off topic" I just let it go. Why is it closed but still sticky? seems weird to me.

Dropping www

Hey all!

All the logos are looking good.

Just be careful if dropping the WWW in front unless you have set up a DNS record to point to the correct place.
The web accepts web sites without a www preceeding and in fact it could be different than one with a www.

I agree that the name of the forum and a short slogan would work best.

I have a black truck with black tinted rear windows so plain black text would not show at all. Maybe we could have 2 options? One an inverse of the other? For example one set for those of with light coloured rigs and another for those with dark.

just my 2 cents:

I second that option, my Runner is black w/ tinted windows as well, so I need something aside from black so it will stand out, I vote red as an inverse.

They all look great! Hard choice, but I voted for #5. If we do one of the decals with red, can we also do it in blue? My 4Runner is light blue and would probably look better with blue decals. That's my opinion though. Also, is there anyway of making a decal that's about a 4 inch circle? That way it would fit on the small glass area on the rear doors.
Here's my idea of a slogan.

Yotatech: As great as yoda but a lot better looking!
(That was my lame attempt  )

Have fun. Keep up the good work!

I just think we really need to get serious about this if we want to get this thing to be an actual product, if not it's going to die off and become another thred that lies int he archives. We need to get down to a few basics. Vote on color options, slogan, and style. Get those things voted on and a final idea put together. Does anyone actually have the connections or rescources to put this thing together?

P.S. Hey DH6twinotter, where in NC are you from? I'm just happy to see another person from the east coast here and to be from NC is even better, someone that is remotly close.

I am sure that a company like this can put the logo on to t-shirts, bumper stickers, mouse pads, etc. If they don't offer what we need, I am sure there are tons of other companies that do. The first (and hardest) step is to decide on that graphic(s). Once that's done, it will be easy to get it setup.

Staples has sticky paper that a person can buy and print their stuff on. They have both the kind that has adhesive on it and the kind that doesn't (like some parking permits). They have the one without adhesive in clear and white. It would probably have to be stuck on the inside of the window as weather may cause it to fall off. Not sure how that would work.

Stump 1883, I'm south of Fayetteville about 10 miles.

Have fun.

why do we need a slogan? i mean...i like the blur sticker a LOT, but if they were produced, i wouldn't put the slogan on, just the yotatech.com part.

Here's a shot

Be gentle - I'm a bit rusty on Illustrator. Here's a stab at a logo/slogan. I think it should be a vinyl die cut that we can do short runs through a sign shop. That way, we can do almost any color - something for everyone. Anyway, I've always thought less is more.
