Fog light replacement

I just got a 99 Limited and one of my factory fog light lens is cracked in half. I have been searching parts stores and websites for days now, trying to find what it is going to take to get it replaced. So far I have had no luck. Does anyone know where these can be found without having to buy the whole light kit? Or a cheap used kit would work to. I plan on hitting the junk yards later this week if I still haven't found anything. Thanks for any help you can give.

I knew I found a set being auctioned at ebay last week...but it is no longer there :pat:

You just might want to check ebay occassionally to see if one is available. FYI, a new kit costs $250 at

Yeah. There is no way I am buying a whole new kit just for one lens though. The lights are fully functional, just one has cosmetic damage. Kinda like the other day when I walked out of my local dealership laughing, my passenger seatbelt was missing the little knob that holds the clasp off the floor, and they told me it would be $177 to replace the seatbelt. I ended up popping one off my aunt's car that she just totalled and hot glued it where the locking brad used to be. About 10 minutes time and a cent worth of glue. It even matched the interior!

Thats the stealer for ya. It is easier for them to look up the parts and labor price than to check the TSBs.

Lets see...does this look like your problem, covered under warranty for a 1999 4Runner.

Would be under warranty, but I am at 69000 miles and the second owner.

That is exactly my problem, and it apparently happened to both. The drivers side was replaced with a black one instead of beige before I got the truck. I will try to see if I can order that part number from them. Thanks for the site, now I have a subscription.

Here's a link to an Ebay auction that has your lights.

Thanks for the ebay link!

As for the Tongue plate stopper, it turns out I can order those for a whopping $1.27 each!

This forum rocks.
