Fixing a scratch

Fixing a scratch
On my 2000 silver 4runner it looks like someone hit my rear fender. It is on the plastic. I saw a paint marker at walmart and was wondering what some of you have used to touch up scratches. I am thinking of taking a look at the dealer for some touch up paint

Is the scratch all the way through the paint? I had tons of scratches from wheeling a dark green Tacoma and was shocked when I picked it up from the detail shop before I sold it. They wet sanded every single scratch out of it and it looked new again. Check with your local detail shop. THey usually do free estimates and can work wonders.

It is not on the body. But on the painted fenders that popl out. They are plastic. I guess what Im asking is the best place to get paint that specifically matches Toyotas silver. It looks like there is the black plastic, then the paint and a clear coat on the fender guard.

Try paintscratch.com...not cheap, but they've got the exact match in various types of applicators...from spray cans to touch up bottles and everything in between. On a 2000 4Runner chances are that your silver code is: if 2 tone "K84" which is a combination code for: 181 (the upper main body color) and 1A5 (the lower trim and fenderwells). The dealer will also be able to get factory touch up tubes.
