finished my cb install
Actually, it's been done for just over a week now, but I finally got around to snapping a few pics of the final version. I went with a Cobra 18 WX ST II cb with a 2" NGP Firestik II antenna. I got a chance to test it out a bit last weekend at Paragon... so far it seems to work pretty well.
A couple of other pics and a short write-up are on my site, in the "Add-Ons" section.

Hey. Looks familar. Nice set up Jacksonspot.
Pretty nice CB don't you think. I have the firestick as well.
However it doesn't have enough flex to it even with the spring. On the trail it kept slamming against my rig. At one point I thought it busted my front windshield. Scared the ˟˟˟˟ outta me.
How were you able to put in the thumbnail pic.

Jackson, Mike, both the radios look real good
Mike, see this txt file.
Simply put the thumbnail, or even another pic on the 'Net, and then use the other space to put the actual URL to a page, or to a bigger picture.
That is how I link thumbs here all the time.

Man that looks nice. You guys have a nice setup. I went with a convertable Midland. I figured I could use it if I were out of the rig by switching over to batteries - but you can probably guess how many times I have done that! Heh-heh.
Mike, remind me tomorrow to take a look at your setup. It may be time for me to make a change!
I also hate having that wasted slot in my dash. I should buy one like yours!

Corey. Thanks dude.
Gotta give props to Larsdennert though. I saw his setup earlier this year and thought this CB unit was the best for setting indash. No need to add a back plate to cover open space.
Now I need to upgrade my head unit. My rig came with a CD player as well but the damn thing died in May.
Yes I have the pictures posted at my new site. It is still under construction (When will it not be) and I haven't had the chance to forward the link to my new site.
But since Im here I might as well post it.
My Mod or Add On page has been updated and I also have a Trips and Trails page now. Let me know what you all think.

DREAD. Not a prob man. See ya tomorrow
PS. Your evil!! he he
rpeAMP. I used the factory bracket and MacGyvered the screws to hold the CB. The space if very tight. You will need a 90 degree COAX connector coming out of the back of the CB radio.
Other than that the install was pretty straight forward.
Good luck dude.

Dude, I will have to update my page with your new link to your site.
It looks like it's coming along nice.
I'm reading your sliderz installation right now.
I can add it to our round-up here later.

Looks great Jackson. That is where I put my fire scanner. It works out pretty good, but I do notice that the stereo does make some interference with the scanner, but it is ok. I like the set-up though, nice work! :fireman:
