Finally Upgraded to 99+ headlights PICS!! (dial-up beware)

Well as promised I finally got some pics of the upgraded lights. Scored them off ebay, they are genuine Toyota headlights and not knock-off aftermarket ones. Let me know what you think.

Here are the original 96 headlights and old clear corners.

And the new ones!

Thanks for the commnets guys, they look great at night as well. They're actually a good bit brighter than the older ones.

Hey Brett, not yet my friend, gotta save up a little more money to get the wiring and everything else for the locker, then it's a go!

P.S. Gonna try to send out your money either tomorrow or Wednesday, it's been kinda hectic the last few days because my stepdad's mother passed away so I've been back and forth between my house, my apartment, and work.

No prob, take care of the family business first.

You're gonna love the locker!

One of the best cosmetic mods Ive done, that Ive actually kept. I think the light output is a lot better.
BTW, your truck looks spectacular, way to keep it so clean. Mine isnt even close to looking that good!

Great job there Jonathan. I'm hoping to do the same fairly soon if I can either luck up at a junkyard or afford even ebay's expensive price.

nice looking ride.

the newer lights are made of glass vs the plastic on the old 4runner, thats the reason for this mod right?

i might have to do this, havnt modded my 4runner in awhile.

These headlights are direct replacements, no modifications needed. All the 3rd Gen 4Runners came with glass lenses even the older lenses I used to have were glass, they just weren't the high projection lenses like what come on the 99+ Runners (what I just put in mine). To get these lenses from your dealership, you're probably looking at somewhere around $400, I know Jason Burtman here on the forum sales them for somewhere around $320. I lucked and got both off of ebay for around $130. Both of them were brand new and genuine Toyota headlights and not the cheap aftermarket ones they usually try to sell on e-bay.
