Yeah, I guess you can do whatever you want when the shop is in your backyard.

Thanks,
There is a slight sag when it's fully loaded in the rear (400+ lbs), but only by an inch or so. It's hardly noticeable. The setup is pretty stiff in the rear.

I've had the setup for about three months now, and probably put about 2000 miles on it. I've taken it wheeling once on a pretty light trail that didn't really even challenge the rig. There were some holes that were a couple feet deep that my friend's stock f150 got stuck in pretty quickly, but I enjoyed being able to pull out his "mighty V8".

Thus far, I have no complaints at all. It stands better, drives better, and beasted the one trail I've taken it on. If you are considering this lift, pull the trigger!

All I want now is a 1" body lift and some 33's!

Since I've had the lift in, I've noticed that the front seems to sit slightly higher than the rear. It must be by only a half inch or so, but it's definitely noticeable at times.

I have the top plate spacer in the front, and I'm sure if I took this out, I'd be pretty leveled out, but I don't really want to lose the lift. I thought the top plate spacer was supposed to bring the front up the the level of the rear, to prevent rake, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Has anyone else had this problem? Have you put a spacer in the rear to compensate? Any other solutions?

I've got a 1" BL in mind for the future, and I want to make sure the suspension lift is sitting nicely before I alter the body stance at all.

Lifts are not my area of knowledge but....

I saw your 4 runner on Pinnacle Ln just last month during my vacation in Charleston for my uncle lives on Apex/ Dexter Ln due to having to make two alimony payments a month. Meridian is not a bad place to live (good eye candy) but isn't shadetree mechanic friendly.

Try Lex Tech (across from the Pizza Hut on Folly, before the Kangaroo but after Verizon) and see if they may be able to help ya or give ya some advice. My friend's father has a FJ 60 he got repaired there and was happy with their work.

i had 881/890s put in about a 3-4 weeks ago. It could just be me or my pre-notion that the springs will sag, but i think i see a little bit of sag in the back. Not too much, just a little. I already put about 600 miles on it...so hopefully it doesnt sag too much more. If it does Ill throw a spacer in there.

I ordered the 2" BL from RB. Thinking 2" might be too much but what the heck. If the springs sag any more it will make up for it.

That's cool, small world! Yeah, it's a great place to live, much better than my last place, but you're right, not too amenable to people tearing their cars apart in their driveways.

After some reading, I think my issue is this: The OME kit is designed for a little bit of rake, but the front spacers bring the front up to level. So, on any unlevel ground, the rig will look unlevel. This seems to be the case because sometime's it looks like it's sitting pretty and other times it makes me cringe to see that the rear looks like it's sitting a little lower.

What I'll probably do is get two of these to add little less than a half-inch to the rear lift. I like the height of the front lift, and I don't like the occasional sagging look, so I think these small spacers will be the ticket.

I've been watching Lex-Tech being built right there on Folly over the last couple months, and I've been wondering what the story is on that place. I probably won't go to the mechanic for this issue, but I'm glad to hear you've heard good things about them. I was excited to have a Yota specialist pop up so close to me. And they have some pretty slick landcruisers/4runners/FJs out front at any time.

Do you also run the top-plate spacer up front?

I also want a BL in the near future, but I want to get the suspension lift sitting right before I do that. My thought was that if it sags now, raising the whole body won't fix anything, but just raise the whole sag up.

yes, I do run the top-plate spacer.

Im waiting until summer to do my BL. I dont really care if it sags, I just need the extra clearance

I actually just finished installing the rear. Took about 2 hours. Most difficult part was installing the rear shocks, specifically the upper nut. Would have helped to have a 17mm deep, but only had a 17mm shallow.

Finishing up the front on Monday or Tuesday so it looks pretty bad right now with the rake, it will be embarrasing to drive it to work tonight.

I recommend you spray everything you will be removing with PB Blaster and maybe tackle your rear shock upper nuts while you are waiting for the kit to arrive. I did that and it brakes up the process a little.

On a side note, I had 164k on the factory rear shocks and they are still good to go.

With the 3 inch lift, is the Pan Hard drop needed for vehicle safety? I am debating between a 2 inch or 3 inch lift, and the three inch is desired. I've heard the 3 inch is fine to install and my rig will only be used to beach trips and highway travel mostly.
