Mrs. "C": The cool blue lights that blind you at night are the HIDs I think you are talking about. Those, as I posted earlier, are on most of the higher end luxury cars. They actually aren't blue, but if you compare them sids-by-side to regular halogen bulbs then, yes, they may look blue, but they are pretty close to white. The bulbs that give off a blue light are probably what ricers put in the cars.

ianshoots: I think autolamps and Powerbulbs both ship from Europe and you would be getting the European bulbs rather than the ones made for the U.S. market.

Gangus2006: Dude, sorry, can't help you out on that one, man!

Powerbulbs definitely ships from the U.K., by Royal Mail. I ordered mine on a Monday and they arrived in the mailbox on the following Monday. That was faster than they said it would be. When I ordered them for my Pilot I ordered on a Sunday and they arrived 12 days later. That was still fast.

I put an HID set like these on my friend's Nissan 240z. Fairly easy install once we found out one of the bulbs was bad from the factory! That was a real headache to diagnose. Once working we found they just blasted WAY too much light everywhere. The reflectors in the headlights weren't set up for so much light. Without going into a lot of detail we managed to put a shield on the bottom of the bulb to reduce light. Yes the bottom. That's because light shining out of the bottom of the bulb hits the bottom of the headlight reflector and bounces up. Once we put in those shields, the HID lights were much more friendly to oncoming drivers and he's never been stopped by the police. The only problem is he doesn't have HID high beams. That would have been a whole bunch more money and hassle. I don't think you really need high beams with HID though.

I have to admit, I had to come search to find out what kind of bulb I needed. Michael was bummed cause he was going to have to tear my headlight apart to dig in there and I said "well I asked on Yotatech last time, why not again" Found my old thread and am really excited to see it's been 3 1/2 years since I've had to replace anything.
Now that I'm about to replace my bulbs again. I thought I'd ask if any of you felt there was anything better since 04
Obviously I'm impressed with how long the others lasted me. My concern is still wanting the brightest light for the washington weather.
