Exhaust questions...

Alright I did a lot of searches but couldn't find a whole lot for the 1st generations for some reason... maybe its just me... just a quick question... what is the stock size for the exhaust for a 1st generation... and what would you guys with the 1st generations recommend for the new size because I am going to get a new exhaust.. I still have the stock one and its fallin apart...

Thanks a lot

Ian

I'm in the same boat.
Gonna install a set of headers all the way back. Looking at going with what ever will match the headers. Looking to be 2.25 at the moment.

Yup that's what size I am lookin at too... 2.25"
Here's what I have so far seems to be pretty good...
I read that a few people have it...
Since I got the ol 4 banger I dont want it to sound like a bee so I hope this stuff I have here will work... and that size should be ok I guess...
Not to sure since its an auto too...

Wish I could afford some headers right now but I can't... I just need to get rid of this stock exhaust its fallin apart and rustin pretty bad...

2 1/4" works well, get a quiet muffler. I have the jardine system and it's way too loud...

Never seen 'em, or heard 'em that I am aware of. What I do notice is it looks like an oval glass pack.

What I do know is anything I do plan on putting on, will be quiet. I use my truck for hunting and the last thing I need is a load speaker telling animals I am around.

oh snap.. jsut realsied your looking at the muffler i have.. inbetween 2 and 2.5 it has a nice rumble.. not to "loud" but deep and gives nice power at round 3+ i think i might be suffering a bit at under 3 when wheeling.. i have 2.5 pipes on it that i got with the truck.. planning on going 2.25 muffler back soon.. or jsut cutting it off before the rear diff. at speed it isnt to loud which i like..
