wow good everyone's ok

I agree it sound like what ever happened caused one of the fuel lines to rupture and spray on the manifold causing the fire. could have been something as simple as a stone thrown up or just a rusted line finally letting go. Nees1212 sorry to hear your van got broken into when you where here. it is a very unusual thing for us. (so we're told by the cops anyway) ...
Good luck with you new runner when you get it.

yeah a fire extinguisher might have done it but if you don't know it's on fire till you open the hood you wouldn't have hit it from underneath first anyway. i'm a fire fighter and i have saved cars wit an extinguisher and i've lost um (no we don't use extinguishers when we roll up to a car fire in the fire engine but i have had times when i stoped to help or 1 time at the auto auction i worked at) anyway nobuddy got hurt and thats really all that matters. yes the runner iz lost but thats a lot better then if somebuddy had been inside. I'll be praying for you that you get the money form the ins co. and that you can find a new runner.

yeah, i think it was something to do with the fuel line also, although i will never know for sure because i don't think my insurance is going to investigate due to the fact that it wasn't arson. I don't know, but if anyone could give me an estimate for how much it is for a 6" lift on a '95 runner, that would really help out, i think i can produce reciepts and model numbers on everything but the lift kit.
