Is someone able to tell me if this list is a "sticky" somewhere else on the site? And/or can somone update it with the missing engine descriptions.
I always end up trying to figure out what engine is what....

FWIW I think the 3.0 is a stout little engine. Granted, there were some HG problems, but I think Toyota did a pretty good job replacing lots of those...obviously some people fell through the cracks but I think the majority of 3.0s are still out there chugging away. I was not impressed with the power or mileage, BUT I can't say that it wasn't a tough engine...it makes *enough* torque at low rpms to crawl around a bit...I think each generation of the 4Runner is useful for different purposes....I loved my 2nd gen when I had it...I've been thinking more about getting another Toyota this time a 4th gen 4x4 truck...
