Engine Rebuild? Opinions

Engine Rebuild? Opinions
My HG blew a few weeks ago and since I am not *too* mechanically inclined, whatever I decide, I will probably hire someone to do it.
Should I
a) Hire someone to simply replace the HG?
b) While I'm at it, have someone rebuild the whole engine, or
c) Something in between (valve job???)
My truck has 180,000miles (290 000 km) and recent timing belt etc. Body is kinda crappy and rusty, but that's OK; it's a 4x4
I have not had time to do a compression check yet as it is sitting at my parents (soon, soon I will have a garage of my own!)
Opinions needed!

Got the same thing happening over here to my truck. #3 cylinder had 30psi compression. I am going to do the work myself and am assuming right now that its the HG, but wont know till the engines opend up.
Cant really say which option will be your best because if the head is cracked or piston rings missing ect, the price will jump and you might as well do a rebuild.
