Angry Engine hesitation-Need Advice

2004 DC Tacoma, 3.4, 88,000 miles.

I've been having some problems with my truck hesitating when the RPM's are around 1700. It happens during acceleration and when at a constant speed, but not all the time. It almost feels as though it's miss firing for some reason but just for a second. It is not pulling any codes.

So.. I replaced the plugs and wires and cleaned out the throttle body and MAF. Helped a bit, but not much. So I took it into the stealership and they told me that it was probably the idle control valve and to repair it they would have to replace the entire throttle body for a small fee of $1300!!

Questions:

Should I also try replacing the TPS and fuel filter even though no codes are showing up?

Does the entire throttle body need to be replaced to replace the idle control valve?

Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem until I replaced the fuel filter. Do that first and go from there.

Ur maf sensor. Take it out, clean it with QD electronics cleaner real well, let dry, install. Take of battery connection 30 seconds, put back on and start drivin.

That'll be a $50 diagnostic fee -

You have a drive-by-wire throttle body on that year Taco, many have had problems with that. Might do some research into that.

Rock hound you do too.
