engine died HELP!

Well tonight I was going around a corner and all of a sudden the engine died. It just shut off. It wasnt idleing ruff, or acting wierd. So once we got it home and in the garage I took out a spark plug to test for spark. None. So I was thinking it might be the coil or condensor that might have went bad. Thats about the only thing I can think of that would go bad in a heartbeat. Oh and because I have a bad rear main its leaking oil bad. 1qt. every 500 miles. I checked the oil and it was really low so before I called the tow truck I added oil to see if that would make it run because mabe theres a low oil sensor? Well the added oil didnt run so I called the tow truck . So please help me figure this out! Mabe if the engines bad I could do a 3.4l swap with supercharger? HMMMM
Thanks a Ton!

Problem is, there are sooo many possibilities when it comes to electrical that it would be difficult to find the source without looking at everything.

I had a similar problem. Check the distributor cap. If it's carbed up or marked I'd replace it. Could be cracked. Just my .02

well i just got a call fromt the dealer, seized distributor, bad timing belt, ect. they want $1100 to do it . so I guess its time for a new motor. hopefully a 3.4l. what will I need to do a 3.4l swap, i am assuming i will need a engine(of course), ECU and wiring harness. what else? look in my sig for my tranny and x-fer case. I think i read somewhere that with my tranny i will only need a new bellhousing? I will do some searching but any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
