These any good? For the price I'm sure they can't be beaten.

Just wondering.

most of that stuff looks like aftermarket parts and not quality oem toyota parts. i usually go with the motto, you pay for what you get, and ebay scares me when buying stuff like that.

It's even "worse" 'cause there's a statement in the description of "**THE BELOW PICTURE IS A LOOK AT AN ENGINE KIT, NOT THE ONE SELLING!!**". It's hard to see, it's in blue text against that whacky background.

Yeah really, with 6244 transactions and a 100% positive feedback, that says a lot.

That is an amazing record considering the number of retards you deal with when selling on eBay.

I wouldn't rebuild with anything but Toyota parts, unless you were building a high performance motor.

sorry for hijacking, but I have never gotten a straight answer about OS valves. What exactly needs to be done to the head in order to run OS valves? Is there anything else that should be done along side the valves to optimize performance? And how much would the work to the head cost to put the OS valves in?

The best guy to ask that question is the seller here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...969258533&rd=1

Or call Tod here, weekdays at 503-257-7947

>>>*Hi! Well, if I may, I will try to give you as straight as I can.

When installing the oversize valves, the machine shop should do a bit more than just cut the seats out larger. We also want to open the throat (bowl in some areas) and the amount is slight but matters. All other dimensions such as guides, standing height, springs, retainers, locks, ...are all stock specs.

Combined with the larger head size by actually less than 1mm ( A LOT of surface area if you do the math) we see volume improvements close to 10%. Now that doesn't sound like much, but the computer must be able to respond and adjust, etc.

Simple to install the oversize valves, just machine the seats out to fit, clean up the obvious areas in the bowl that result...Easy stuff.....*EB

my engine has more ROCK components than toyota. holding up fine if you ask me

toyota parts are good, but typically expensive and not necessary for a good running engine. it's all in the tolerances if you ask me, though these seem to be rather forgiving mills.

I can't find my receipt right now to confirm, but I picked up my 20r head from Engnblr a week ago, and I THINK he charged me $75 for the 'Street/RV conversion' to the head. ( cutting the larger seats, throating the passage, and installing the valves )

It's PUUUUURRRRRRTY.

Sweet definetly made up my mind and the whole 6500+ feedback with 100% is a damn good reassurance.
