Dyno is in!

Well everyone the day finally came for what i call stage 1 on my truck =]

No S/C Dyno: 160rwhp
Friend of mine who also dynoed his 2k1 Taco S/C NO Fuel mods: 193rwhp
S/C Fuel Mods Stage One: 231.7rwhp

By looking at following chart you can see that the engine looks to have more grunt then the limiter lets it go to compaired to no S/C

This is with SMT6 with some advance and running at 8psi (according to gauge and dyno)

Thats good for me for now....i will keep what i got until i finish with the suspension and new tires. Those are in NEED and WANTS....
I provided image with my before and after....

You got 160whp without any mods? Surely you had something on there, as 183 at the crank, I wouldn't think it would manage 160 at the wheels.

Actualy ihad according to my dyno sheet here...199.9 at crank last time. Its wierd and maybe soemthing goofed up but i kinda take it at 140rwhp like evryone elses....it looks even better that way too ....140 -> 231 is damn good increase! And its still not properly tunned it needs some adjustments as well which should yield as he said about 10-14more to the wheels!

Well like imentioned other things take priority right now then performance as i need new rear leafs and new tires....will throw in some nice new coil overs as well to get everything running right. Then im hoping to get a 5spd in near future as well!

Chris, it sucks to see your kit go...you were the biggest help for me and i know if it wasnt for your patience i would not have been able to get this far and to now pass ont he knowledge i have gained to others.
Thank you so much for everything.
To bad you cant take it to the next level like creed and I....water injection with smaller pulley =]

I think he has his water injection in....or was it this weekend...dotn remeber just that he was doing it soon.

BTW, gadget mentioned that they will be putting together a WI kit, so you might want to hold out and see what they come up with.

all dynos give diff numbers.

what matters most is to get a before and AFTER... so you can compare the delta value...

Sweet Weasy2K! I wish I could take it to the next level with you man! Good luck, and I'm not worried, because I'll eventually have one again.

haha . . . i think i just changed my mind and i might wait for my Gadget WB O2 sensor to arrive (next week) first, so i can tune it more accurately . . . you don't really want to mess around with this stuff and do it half-assed; might as well wait and do it right. so now i'm thinking NEXT weekend, although i may get itchy and go ahead and do it sooner.

the truck already runs like a BEAST, though, even on 285's. . . i can only imagine what higher octane, more air/fuel, and more advance will produce!!! i'll probably have to get a new clutch soon.

stay tuned . . .

Yeah, after thinking about all this, I'm probably going to build up my wife's Lexus SC400 for fast driving, and make my 4runner into a dedicated off-road vehicle instead of trying to make it both. We'll see what happens though. It's all up in the air at this point.

but then, how do you know HOW MUCH you improved?

1 hp? 5 hp? 20?

without a true baseline, saying you now have XXX hp is kinda incomplete.

Well MY baseline says 160 while others argue the dynoproven numbers, but i will also go with my truck having 140rwhp stock like everyone else claims it to be as others have dynoed.
i care more on the numbers of now then before now.
I think gadget himself got 140ish numbers or was it someone else?
