Geez, mods...

Calmini 6" combo lift (3" suspension, 3" body).
Calmini Anvil - Steel front diff housing (stock is aluminum).
4.24:1 lo range (1.8:1 is stock)
5.83:1 R&P's (5.125:1 is stock)
ARB's front & rear.
Calmini steel winch bumper, Warn M6000 (more than enough for a 2500 pound rig)...

etc.

Second Generation 4Runner CV axles - there's a guy in Wisconsin making adapters to put Toy axles in Sidekicks. The Runner axle is about twice as heavy as the stock Suzuki axle. Very good mod! (I grenaded two stock CV axles in Pritchett Canyon, at Moab this year).

 

You could shut some haters up with that thing!! Haha, nice job.

 

I try to wheel (whenever I can) with the Rising Sun Toyota club here in Denver. Great group, and they have been surprised what a little IFS Kick can do on 31's. My next upgrade will be 33's - but the Sawzall's gonna have to come out for that mod - again...

 

It is like a minature poodle or something - Aweful cute, technically a dog, but I still couldnt own one.

I was on zukiworld.com , and know of bobzuki, and have seen pictures from moab, colorado etc. He can take that places that would shock you.

 

Cool Ride. We have a LOT of Suzuki people here (Bedford, IN). Capable little beasts. A quick Q on your ride- What kind of tires are on there and how are they on-highway (noise-wear-handling). I can see that they work well off-road

Running Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's 31 X 10.50/15's

On highway... Noise, yes. Wear, almost none. Handling, excellent.

Tire noise just doesn't bother me, but they're really not that noticable.
Mind you, that's a whole lot more rubber than the stock 195-75R15's, so performance of the rig - especially 9,000 feet above sea level, where I live - is...sluggish on the uphills.

Now when I put it in 4-lo-1st, with an overall gear ratio right around 90:1, it just sort of oozes over stuff. In fact, I had to GIVE IT GAS, to get it DOWN Lion's Back at Moab.

Next Mod: Going up to 33's. Either Wranglers, or BFG Mud Terrain's. I'm leaning toward the BFG's because they come in a 10.50 width (I really don't need the 12.50 width).

 

I actually have a freebie 1991 Geo Tracker 4x4 (rebadged Sidekick) on the way. A friend of mine just gave it to me as it was taking up space in his yard. I have to get a trailer and pick it up. It's stock for now. Body is in great shape, engine is a little noisy, he thinks maybe a wrist pin? I plan on hookin it up for a woods rig. Any pointers would be appreciated. I want to start with suspension and tires.

 

I could spend a few weeks on that topic, but you will find a wider range of opinions in the forums on www.zukiworld.com - you can get it lifted, and put bigger shoes on for very little money, or you can pour a river of money into it (as it seems I have), and make an amazingly capable rig.

It's all about the Evil Seed. You know, that little idea that gets planted in your head, and the next thing you know, you're pouring all your time and money into it. Careful! These things are very addicting! Also, I have some friends in Idaho, who took a 4-door Track/Kick and put FJ80 axles under it, complete with e-lockers, and dual tcases.

 

I checked out Zukiworld, pretty cool sight. Anyone have any ideas on the alleged wrist pin noise?
