Driveline and fender flare questions...

I have about a 2" lift on my '96 Tacoma, and the drivleline is extend about 1.5" more than it used to be. Is this anything to be concerned about? I have never read anything about someone having to get an extended driveline for that small of a lift.

Somewhat unrelated question...

Anybody heard of Jungle Fender Flares? Any feedback? Or maybe a good source for Bushwacker Extenda a fenders?

Thanks

Jungle Fender Flares, anybody tried them?

They have good feedback on ebay, ABS construction, cool styling, good price...

As long as the shaft does not pull apart or vibrate, it should be fine. Might check to make sure the rear springs were installed the right way. Sounds like the rear axle must have been moved back with the new springs.

Do you mean the actual direction the springs are installed? Which end is the military wrap supposed to be on?

Thanks

The ones in the link look very similar to the OEM ones that come on the Tacomas...

Yes, typically the mil-wrap end goes in the hanger on the frame. If that is OK, you could measure the old springs and new ones, taking note of the front spring eye to center bolt distance.

The OEM flares are definately smaller than these Jungle Fender Flares. If you follow the link, you can also see a newer picture of the flares on a tan Tacoma.

Saw that one. From that vantage point, you can see that they are a little larger. I think I like the size of the OEM ones better, but that's just me.

Jungle Fender Flares

Heres pics of the Jungle Fender Flares installed on a couple Tacomas, painted and not-painted. They have a protective film on them to prevent scuffs and scratches from handling before installation. When you are ready to install them, you just peal it off, and they have a nice finish just like in the second picture. See www.JungleFenderFlares.com
