That 4 Runner is pretty bad @ss and is way nicer than my ride for sure, but really, that is a large asking price for that truck, NOT that someone wouldn't buy it if that was exactly what they were seeking and had the extra cash. Stuff like Seat covers, floor mats, tinted lights, a Sony stereo ect. ect... Who cares. What he has that every one wants is a nice late model four runner with a winch, ARB lockers, gears, suspension ect...

Its almost like selling a customized Harley. One man wants ape hangers and the other one wants drag bars, but equally they both just want a Harley. It seems hard to justify re-paying someone for the work they have put forth on their truck unless it is mutually beneficial to both parties. Besides, where is the fun of building it to meet you own needs, your own busted knuckles and head aches adn the arguments formed on forums like this.

I'd like to see some off-road pics too. Truck looks too clean to be a 4wd.

"DeathCougar" what the hell? You have no idea what youre talking about. The radiator/condenser is hardly an issue. The condenser is a cheap China made unit that i installed a while beack due to an incident with a drill. Errrr. It broke because it isnt the greatest quality condenser, but it holds the charge and the ac blows damn cold. The quality of it plus the fact that i actually use the truck is why it failed. I was going to replace both parts but saw no need after doing the repair.

Ghetto fab? How is that? Whats ghetto about it? I have never had anything but compliments on it and most of the time people cant believe that i actually built it. But whatever, keep being an internet tough guy and talking crap. Whatever gets you through the day.

For those that know me both in person and from UY, you know that my truck is built very very well. It will handle damn near anything and will cruise to and from at 80mph. Everything is explained in detail on ebay. The starting price is very reasonable considering the mileage, the mods, the kbb value and, the fact that its certified pre owned, etc., etc..

The reason i am selling is to eliminate debt. I need to buy a house and the housing market here in Cali. is really dropping and i need to set my self up financially so that i can buy a home in the near future. I wish i could keep the truck, but unfortunately i need to do whats best for my family. I will definitely miss it.

Oh, and like others said, 1" of body lift is hardly too much. Haha.
Baling wire and JB weld is ghetto fab. The radiator and condensor are HUGE issues, considering they are major heating/cooling and AC parts. Asking top dollar for your truck would indicate top quality parts are installed. JB welding a radiator, which will fail sooner than later, is NOT top quality.

The rest of the truck is great. It all looks good...except the Radiator and condenser. The fact that you replaced it with some cheap china Junk only proves my point.

I am not trying to be a tough guy at all, I made no threats or direct attacks towards you, so calm down. Ask anyone on here about my demeaner, and you will learn i am a very laid back guy who generally doesn't try to start fights, but rather points out facts, interjecting my opinion along the way.

Your truck is awsome, I was merely pointing out my side of the argument from a prospective buyers point of view.

It is a nice looking rig...but I do think it seems a bit high. The year and the miles are nice but how hard has it been driven? The condenser brackets being broken, and like DeathCougar said, they are pretty tough to begin with. And why not just fix it right in the first place? JB Weld is a temp. cheap fix. It does have some nice mods but I don't think I would pay the price. I also like to start from scratch rather than buying someone else's custom work, just to take pride in my own work.

IMHO, you are selling a full blown off-road rig and being in southern california, that means going to desert, i don't even drive plugged tires there. if you have the skills, have both replaced with junkyard toyota parts, that will help you selling it quickly.

last time i checked, there were 1160 views on ebay, no takers, that should say something. uncertainties are a big no-no for us machanically challenged people. i remembered about 9 years ago i had my AC fixed for $300, it was just a leaky $3 gasket. at that time, AC media was only $35/lb.

it's such a sick rig that got me thinking, i went to my credit union during lunch hour just to get a loan quote, even showed them these pictures, but not enough to cover our asking price.

deathcouger, FYI, here in los angeles county, the sales tax along will cost $1361(8.25%)

.

As someone said, for the ones who are not mechanically inclined, the condenser/radiator could be a big problem in their eyes. Well, i am more or less a mechanic and i am saying it is not a problem. When it happened i had all the intentions in the world to go to a junk yard and get replacement parts. After i checked it out further, i realized why? The repair made will not fail. The leak in the radiator was so small that the red toyota coolant which has built in stop leak, actually plugged the hole on its own.

If the condenser/radiator is really that big of an issue, and you are seriously thinking about buying the truck and it is a deal breaker, let me know. I can get new parts, and replace them both in an hour. I can then charge the ac system and it will be just like new.

Someone asked about mpg. It pulls 13-14mpg city and 16-17mpg highway.

Someone else mentioned something about how it has no bids. Im sure that people are just waiting til it gets closer to ending to throw in a bid. It is kind of a lot of money. Plus, theres over 3 days left. Trust me, there are people out there willing to pay what im asking. I know because i have talked with them. There is definitely interest in my truck. Honestly though, if someone dosent want to pay what i am asking, its not worth me selling it.

Too pretty to have actually been wheeled? Haha. Heres some pics for you.

So theres a taste of some of the things the truck has been through. Looking back through the pics kinda makes me want to keep it. Haha.

Some might think the price is a bit high, but heck, if he gets the price he's asking, then it's all worth it. The sale is apparently not a must, otherwise he would lower it to sell it quicker.

At least when you're selling it in the classifieds or on autotrader, it's always better to start high than low. You can't go back up.

Good luck X.

The price isn't too high really, its a great truck with tons in Mods. Just the two ARB lockers alone kake it worth the 16k for it.

Knowing that you would replace the parts for a potential buyer is good peace of mind. I will post this link up around my work and see if I can help you in the sale of this rig.

i remember most of my frineds wouldn't understand why i spent $2500 on an 8-day baja fishing trip out of sandi ego few years ago (when i could afford it). their argument was man can buy alot of fish with 2500 dollars. it takes a piece of mind to appreciate a "car" like this. it's not just money, there's more time and effort involved. plus, this is not some thing you can just go and buy one when you want it, one may pop up once or twice a year for sale, i bet there are bunch of people out there just wish you are in his/her range to check it out.

i still don't think egay is the best place trying to sell your runner, it has a huge customer base but your targeted audience mostly is limited to the local off-road enthusiasts, if not only Toyota off-road enthusiasts. i'm not an ebay'er, does ebay charge you commission or the buyer? try to take few minutes post it on forums like here, mud, 120, pirate, etc., may be some one with some money laying around would pick it up from you.

i'm spreading the words, even i can't afford it, i'll try see if anyone i know could buy it so i can barrow it.. he.he..

good luck selling, man.

btw, if that 1-hour work got so many people bitch'n about it, then fix them, it helps. just my 0.02

Like i said before, i havent changed the two parts because i dont think its worth it. I am a mechanic, i did a repair on it and i say its good. Definitely not worth spending the 450 bucks to fix it. It works perfectly fine and will not ever fail. If someone wants to buy the truck and wants these parts changed, i will pay half on the parts and do the install. Once again, its not a necessary repair but if someone insists on it, i will cover half and take care of the labor.

As for me selling it on eBay. Its a week auction and then it will hopefully be gone. Its quick. Forums are good but i want it gone now. If it dosent sell on eBay i will most likely post it up everywhere. No extra fees are charged to the buyer when something sells on ebay. I pay a listing fee and then a closing fee if it sells. What the auction ends for is what the buyer pays.

Thanks for the wheeling pictures, I was always kind of curious what the terrain was for you guys out on the left coast.

I paid way more than that for a stock Ltd. '02 with 40K. I would've gladly paid that amount for a 4Runner already tricked out. Oh well, I'll just try and make the best out of what I have.

Sorry, everything stays with the truck.

Yeah, before i was planning on buying an Audi again. I was going to buy a B7 S4 Avant. But then i realized that wouldnt work. Too nice of a car to drive to work everyday. Now selling the truck is to eliminate debt. I need to buy a house in the near future. Still going to buy an Audi though. Its going to be a B5 A4 most likely. Much cheaper option for now. Then i will buy a house, pay off the rest of my bills and hopefully within the next few years step it up and buy and RS4.

Truck looks great. Good to see some action pics too. I hope you get what you're asking for, then maybe I can recoup a few bucks someday too.

But you gotta chop that exhaust off!!
