I know the 93 requires the clutch to be disengaged before you can start it, but is there a way to bypass that? And is there a company that manufactures a remote starter for the 4Runners that have the manual trannys? I'm not worried about keyless entry (although that would be nice also), I'm just wanting to put her in neutral, turn the defrost on high, and set the parking brake before I lock her up at night.

I have a button that has a clutch start cancel where you can push the button and start it without using the clutch but it will have to be in neutrall all the time. I know my friend who has a 02 Mustang GT with a 5spd has remote start. I think you have to take the clutch box apart and rewire it, I don't really remember how he did it. I will ask him next tiem I talk to him. Good luck

If you wire the "crank" circuit direct to the starter, it won't matter about the clutch switch.
A word of caution though, these are usually only installed on automatics because they won't move in park. It would only take one time you forgetting to put it in neutral. (maybe too much snake bite remedy the night before)
